Unplayed – Music for Unplayed Video Games.
Electronic rock innovators Black Cab and modular synth alchemist Mat Watson team up to craft “music for unplayed video games,” a bold collection of soundscapes designed as an elegy for abandoned video gaming machines based upon analogue synthesisers and sequencers.
After a year of experimentation with the gaming platform Unreal Engine, Black Cab sought a fresh, kinetic soundtrack to match their creative vision. They reached out to Mat Watson to contribute a series of propulsive analogue sequences that evoke the energy and playability of video games of days gone past.
