The cover illustration is by William ‘Bill’ Rotsler from a 1946 sci-fi fanzine series called The Acolyte. A noted sci-fi author, raconteur, Hugo award winning illustrator and amateur pornographer, Rotsler also created the first set of standardised rules for science fiction convention costume play in the late 1970’s (“Rotsler’s Rules for Costuming”). He was one interesting cat.
