Taking time out from her spoken word Australian tour, NYC no-wave, punk icon Lydia Lunch performs the music of fellow New Yorkers, electronic – post punk pioneers, Suicide with the help of Melbourne’s own electronic heavy weights Black Cab.
Hailing from the slums of 1970s New York, Alan Vega and Martin Rev (Suicide) became aware of Lydia’s music soon after forming and playing the likes of CBGB and Max’s Kansas City. The trio formed a bond and kinship that would continue until Vega’s death in 2016.
Focussing on music from the duo’s first two albums, Lydia and Black Cab join forces to tribute one of the America’s most influential electronic acts of all time.
